Highly respected and well-established law firm is seeking to immediately hire an Insurance Coverage Associate with 3+ years of litigation experience for their highly successful expanding practice. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in both 1st and 3rd party insurance coverage and general insurance law, demonstrating strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. This position offers collaboration within a small team, occasional local travel, and the opportunity to progress on a partnership track in a collegial work environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex insurance coverage issues and conduct legal research
- Draft briefs and pleadings on intricate insurance matters
- Manage substantial caseloads with strategic oversight
- Argue motions and handle depositions
- Assist lead counsel with trial preparation and limited trial involvement
- Consult with clients and deliver exceptional service
- Collaborate effectively within a small team
- Communicate persuasively both in writing and orally
Required Qualifications
- Experience in insurance coverage law with both 1st and 3rd party matters
- 3+ years of litigation experience
- Strong legal research and brief drafting skills
- Oral advocacy and motion practice experience
- Demonstrated client relations and communication skills
- Strategic analysis and case management abilities
- Proficiency in trial preparation
- Ability to collaborate within a team or independently
- Active Louisiana Bar licensure in good standing
