Core Responsibilities
- Medical Record Mastery: Direct the collection, indexing, and deep-dive analysis of extensive medical records. Draft flawless, detailed medical chronologies for severe injury claims.
- Transportation Defense: Assist with the collection and review of commercial motor vehicle (CMV) evidence, including driver logs, safety records, and telematics.
- Accurate Time Capture: Utilize strong legal billing skills to accurately capture and document daily billable time in accordance with insurance guidelines.
- Case Management & Pleadings: Draft discovery requests, responses, subpoenas, and initial defense pleadings. Manage complex document reviews.
- Docketing & Filings: Manage critical statutory deadlines, court calendars, and execute electronic filings in Louisiana State and Federal courts.
What You Bring
- Proven litigation experience strictly within insurance defense, with preferred exposure to transportation or trucking claims.
- Heavy experience reviewing medical records and drafting comprehensive medical summaries.
- Strong technical proficiency in case management software and legal billing platforms.
